Shakey Zimmerman, a California-based tribute band, has performed for almost a decade. The band's name is a combination of the surnames of two iconic songwriters, Neil Young and Bob Dylan. Shakey Zimmerman has gained a reputation for their impeccable musicianship, dynamic jams, and sweet harmonies in their renditions of songs by these two legends. They are considered one of the top Dylan/Young tribute acts in California.
The band features Jody Salino on guitar, Roger Len Smith on bass, Chris Ulep on keyboards, and Bryan 'Smitty' Smith on drums. In addition, special guests Andy Steuer and Karina Dawn Line will be performing with them. The concert will be held at the Alcazar Theater, a beautifully ornate former movie house turned concert and theater venue that has been around for nearly a century. This concert celebrating one of rock music's greatest artists promises to be a treat for music lovers.
Santa Barbara-based Americana roots rock band, Claude Hopper, will kick off the show. The band includes Ohio native singer-songwriter-guitarist David Cowan (Mister Hopper), John McInnes on bass, Chris Ulep on keyboards and vocals, Andy Webb on lead guitar and vocals, and Chuck Hammel on drums and vocals. Claude Hopper will perform a set of Neil Young songs as well as some of their own Shakey-infused originals.
