Hearts Road is a music project that embodies Colin's multimedia vision. Initially, he started his musical journey as a lead singer and rhythm guitarist in a garage cover band. The band eventually introduced original songs when Joey Burns of Calexico joined them, providing the additional key guitar and vocal element they needed. Alongside music, Colin's passion for photography took root, and he has spent the past 30 years traveling the world, capturing breathtaking images in 95 different countries, including Antarctica, the Arctic Circle, and many more.
Colin invites you to discover the power and empathy that still images can hold. His photographs take you through some of the brightest and darkest moments in history, seamlessly stitching together the common links that unite us all in our struggles. He has earned over 80 international awards in nearly every category at film festivals, including best documentary, director, musical score, and photography, for his images of Antarctica, Alberta Tar Sands, the Arctic Circle, Iceland by helicopter, Hawaii, Mountaintop Removal, the Grizzly Bears of the Katmai Peninsula, Easter Island, Darfur, Apartheid South Africa, Belfast, Sarajevo, War in the Middle East, Agent Orange, and many other related stories.
